West Kittanning Borough, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania is home to 1,175 residents over a 0.43 square mile area. Founded by John Cunningham in 1855, the town was formerly known as Bellville.
According to the Armstrong County Geological Project, the town was incorporated as a borough in 1900. The first census in 1910 revealed a population of 871, with West Kittanning Lumber having a large lumber yard located within the borough’s boundaries.
